LocationLake Orient is located one mile west on Highway 25 of Orient, Iowa, at 3103 Orange Avenue.

Operating Hours & Seasons The park is open all year. Water and electric service is available in the campground from May through September. Shower house/restroom facility open May through September. The campground is open from October through April with no electric or water service. The park is open 24 hours a day with quiet hours from 11 PM to 7 AM each night.

Discover Lake Orient Recreation Area in Orient

This 24-acre lake offers fishing, camping with electrical and water hookups, modern restroom/shower house, shelter houses, a playground, kayak dock, and a walking trail. Orient Lake provides recreation for visitors of all ages.
A marker commemorating Henry A. Wallace is located in the park. Wallace was born near Orient and served as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, U.S. Vice President, and U.S. Secretary of Commerce
