Hancock County

The Hancock County Conservation Board is located in north-central Iowa and is home to Crystal Lake Park, Eldred Sherwood Park and Eagle Lake State Park. The Hancock CCB currently owns or manages 20 individual parks, campgrounds, seasonal camping cabins, wildlife refuges and natural areas encompassing over 1,248 acres within Hancock County. Camping Rates/Information:

• All campsites are non-reservable and fill on a first come, first served basis. (campsite will be reservable starting in 2024)
• Primitive (non-electric) sites are $10/night
• Electric only sites are $17/night
• Full service sites (water/sewer/electric) are $25/night. (full service sites are only located at Eldred Sherwood Park)

Cabin/Shelter Online Rental Notice: 

Visa, Mastercard & Discover Card are the only forms of acceptable payment at this time.  American Express is not accepted 

ATTENTION: Beginning January 1st, 2019, a cabin or shelter house that is reserved, will have a Non-Refundable $4.00 Processing Fee added to each facility in a shopping cart. The Processing Fee will automatically be added at the time of "Checkout". Due to more counties adding facilities to reserve online and the higher volume of transactions on Mycountyparks.com, the Iowa Association of County Conservation System (ICCS); which, administers the website through a web host company, is instituting this Processing Fee. The fee will go towards continuing updates and maintenance so that Mycountyparks.com will continue to meet the needs of those wishing to reserve county facilities.
