Discover Ranney Knob Area in Washta

Ranney Knob Area consists of 90 acres located directly west of Washta, Iowa. This beautiful recreation area includes picnic shelters, three non-electric campsites ($10/site/night) and wooded trails, all along the Little Sioux River. Anglers can fish for channel catfish and walleye, and hunting is permitted from October 1 - April 30. Pit toilets are handicapped-accessible. Visitors can enjoy wildflowers blooming in the park from April through October, and birdwatchers will find wintering eagles, migrating warblers and many resident songbirds.
