A camping unit is permitted to camp for a period of 14 continuous days in one location. The camper must then move to a new campsite.

All on-line reservations must be made a minimum of 5 days in advance of arrival, for example, you must reserve before Monday if your arrival is Friday.

You must camp in the site you reserved.


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 03:00 PM and check-out is before 01:00 PM.

Fees

On-line Reservations $20.00 per night 

  • Thursday, Friday and Saturday must be rented together by same party
  • Five night minimum for Holidays
  • $4.00 processing fee per facility will be added at check-out

First come, First serve Self Registration (only if site was not reserved on-line) $20.00 per night 

Reservations for the week of the Clay County Fair must be made by calling CCCB at 712-262-2187.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:

Please understand reservations are not transferable and at the time of booking your reservation you immediately prohibit others from reserving and utilizing the camp site. Should YOU decide to CANCEL your reservation, there are NO REFUNDS.  Please contact the Clay County Conservation Office before 7 days of your reservation if you need to change reservation dates (limited to one change). The rental fee will only be refunded in full when cancellation occurs due to circumstances beyond the Conservation Board’s control that deem your site unusable and/or a like campsite is not available.

Campgrounds are open May 1 to mid-October.  Closure date depends on weather.  Reservations taken for May 1 to October 15 only.

Permits

General Camping Rules:

•A camping unit is permitted to camp for a period of 14 continuous days in one location. The camper must then move to a new campsite.
•Camping permitted only in designated areas
•Check-in after 3:00 and before 10 PM, Check-out before 1 PM
•Only one camping unit per site, one family per site - may have an additional tent for children under 18 only
•One picnic table per site
•No out-of-state firewood
•Build fires in fire rings provided only, do not burn trash
•Bag all trash and fish waste before placing in refuse containers
•Kegs are prohibited
•ALL pets must be on a leash not exceeding 6' in length, kenneled or tethered at ALL times... clean up after your pet!
•No person shall remove, destroy or injure any animal, tree, shrub or flower
•No driving on grass or parking on roadways
•SPEED LIMIT is 5 MPH
•Quiet hours are 10:30 PM to 6 AM
•Only registered campers are permitted in area between the hours of 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM
