Rental Contract Agreement

• Bicycles are rented out clean and in proper working condition and must be returned in the same manner.
• Helmets are included in the rental and are always required to be worn while riding bicycles rented from Floyd County Conservation. I acknowledge the importance of wearing a helmet.
• Bicycles are maintained on a regular basis. It is the responsibility of the user to check the bike before setting out on any ride.
• I understand that this activity may result in severe injury, including but not limited to spinal or head injury.
• I understand that this activity may result in hazards posed by trail conditions, other bicycles, traffic or road conditions.
• I understand that there are no designated bicycle paths in parks operated by FCCB.
• I understand that these bikes may not have visibility enhancement equipment such as Blinking lights.

I agree to return the bike in clean, undamaged condition to avoid damage fees for repair, maintenance or replacement. Damaged parts or components will be repaired/replace at the discretion of the Director and customer agrees to pay FCCB for any costs incurred. Clean condition means normal wear and tear is accepted but does not include broken spokes, rims, bent rims, damaged frames, handlebars, seats or other parts from misuse and/or crashes. All bikes shall be returned clean of mud and debris.

Assumption of risk, waiver, and release agreement.
I understand and accept that renting this bicycle and participating in bicycling exposes me/my child to many
hazards that may entail unavoidable risk. I also understand that I/my child should be in good health to
participate in bicycling and I confirm that I/my child have no significant health issues that prevent me/my
child from participating in bicycling. I hereby assume all risk of injury and loss of our damage to property.

I have carefully read this agreement in its entirety and understand its content. I am aware this is an assumption of risk, waiver and release of liability and I sign it voluntarily. I also understand that I should not and may not participate in this activity if I am under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel a reservation, you will forfeit 100% of all reservation fees paid.


All cancellations must be made by calling the Floyd County Conservation office at 641-756-3490.

Refund Policy

Reservations are non-refundable with the following exceptions:

• Accident, serious injury, death in immediate family.
• The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather and/or travel conditions.
• We are unable to provide your facility in operable condition for the date of your reservation.
• Military deployment

All requests for refunds must be made by calling the Floyd County Conservation office at 641-756-3490.
