The Darling Cabin is a modern twist on camping.

The cabin is named after Jay Norwood "Ding" Darling, a conservation cartoonist that was published in the Des Moines Register and the New York Herald tribune.  He initiated the Federal Duck Stamp program and designed the first stamp.  Despite his inexperience, he was appointed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt as head of the U.S. Biological Survey, forerunner of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.  In 1924 he won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning.
