    You are reserving a facility from the Greene County Conservation Board. All county park rules and state laws are enforced.  The entire rules and regulations may be found in “Related Items” at the bottom of the Greene County home page on this website.  Contact the Park Office at the above location, phone or email if you have questions concerning park rules, policies or special requests.  Park staff have the authority to refuse rental privileges and rescind any and all rental permits for cause.

    CAMPING RESERVATION CONTRACT:

    By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 18 years or older (21 years or older if alcohol will be at your campsite), you will be present during your stay and that you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the camping party you have listed.  You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of the members of your group while utilizing said facilities.

    Additionally, you agree that you have read and understand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation and have also read and understand the FACILITY CONTRACT RULES information.

    Please understand reservations are not transferable and at the time of booking your reservation you immediately prohibit others from reserving and utilizing the camp site and they will go elsewhere to locate an available facility for that date; therefore, please contact the Greene County Conservation Board as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

     

    FACILITY CONTRACT RULES:

    • Speed limit is 15 mph in the campgrounds.
    • Check-out time is 4:00 PM. No set up or take down of equipment allowed between 10:30 PM and 6:00 AM.
    • One camping unit per site. One additional small tent for children under 18 is allowed.
    • Parking shall be between numbered sign posts. One additional vehicle permitted. No parking on roadway.
    • Quiet hours are in effect from 10:30 PM to 6:00 AM.
    • All non-registered visitors must leave the campground by 10:30 PM.
    • All pets must be kept on a six foot length and attended.
    • Keep your campsite cleaned up and orderly.  Do not burn trash in campfire.
    • Firewood is available from concessionaire.

    Refund Policy

    The rental fee will be refunded in full when cancellation occurs due to circumstances beyond the Conservation Board’s control that deem your site unusable and/or a like facility is not available.

    This is an electric site only.

    The site may be reserved up to one year in advance and must be made at least 5 days in advance of the date of reservation.

    There are no refunds due to cancellation and moving between sites is not allowed. If you need to change your reservation you have one opportunity to reschedule.

    The occupancy limit is 14 consecutive days, the unit must then leave the park overnight. Reservations are posted at each site 5 days in advance of the reservation. If not reserved, sites are available on a first come – first serve basis until the day of the reservation. Additional sites are available on a first come – first serve basis. Only one camping unit is allowed per site with an additional tent allowed for children under 18. One additional vehicle is allowed at campsite.

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 04:00 PM and check-out is before 04:00 PM.

    Location Campsite is located along the west shoreline of Spring Lake.

    Permits

    • Quiet hours are from 10:30 P.M. – 6:00 A.M.
    • Camp visitors must vacate park by 10:30 P.M.
    • All pets must be kept on a six foot leash and attended at all times.
    • Only vehicles legally licensed for road use will be allowed on park roads.
    • The camping unit, including awnings, slide outs and vehicles must be between numbered sign posts.

    The Greene County Conservation Board is located in west central Iowa and currently manages 20 areas encompassing some 1,845 acres. Greene County is home to Iowa's second oldest county park - Squirrel Hollow - built by Civil Works Administration crews in 1934, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Other highlights include Spring Lake Park, a favorite of many campers, and the Raccoon River Valley Trail.  Seven concrete boat ramps spaced along 40 miles of the North Raccoon River provide easy access for those wanting to canoe or kayak.
