    Rental Contract Agreement

    By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 21 years or older and that you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the group you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of the members of your group while utilizing said facilities.

    Additionally, you agree that you have read and understand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation, and have also read and understand the FACILITY CONTRACT information.

    You are reserving a facility in a Harrison County Conservation Board park. ALL COUNTY PARK RULES AND STATE LAWS ARE ENFORCED. Contact the Park Ranger listed on your reservation confirmation email if you have any questions about park rules, policies or special requests. Harrison County Conservation Board reserves the right of management staff to enter cabin in an emergency, to inspect, and/or replenish supplies.

    Failure to clean up the facility or surrounding area as outlined, or failure to comply with park rules or state laws may result in enforcement action. Harrison County Conservation Board may take any legal action necessary to recover damages to county property.

    CHECK-IN TIME: After 4:00 PM on the day of arrival
    CHECK-OUT TIME: Before NOON on day of departure

    GETTING INTO A FACILITY
    Your cabin key will be placed in a locked key safe mounted to the wall of your cabin near the cabin door.  To gain access to your cabin keys, please follow these directions:  

    1.  Push in your key safe code until you hear a click.  Buttons may be pushed in any order.
    2.  Push down the OPEN latch and while holding it down, pull the face out from the key safe. If you have entered an incorrect code, you can reset the buttons by sliding down the CLEAR switch. 
    3.  When you release the open latch, the combination will clear. 
    4.  To replace the key safe face, push in your code buttons again. Place the face into the key safe by setting the bottom of the face in the correct location and then snapping it in place. The face will lock automatically.      

    CLEAN-UP
    You are required to clean up the facility and grounds and return them to the condition you received them. Plan to have your facility cleaned and people departed prior to the scheduled NOON checkout time.

    VISITORS
    All visitors (other than registered overnight campers) must depart the park by 10:30 PM.

    SMOKING
    Harrison County is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.

    PARKING
    Parking is confined to designated parking areas. If you anticipate more vehicles than spaces provided, please contact the Park Ranger in advance. No parking or driving off roadways.

    DIRECTIONAL SIGNS & DECORATIONS
    Temporary, free standing directional signs are allowed – not to be attached to park furniture, signposts or other facilities. Decorations are allowed as long as they are free standing or not affixed in a manner that would damage a facility or any painted walls (tape, tacks and staples can cause damage to walls. The use of a no-stick adhesive is recommended). Special care should be taken with balloons so that they do not “escape” and possibly injure wildlife.

    REFUSE
    Harrison County Parks observe a “Carry In – Carry Out” refuse policy. However, a limited amount of refuse will be removed by park staff in conjunction with your reservation. All refuse must be placed in the containers provided. You will need to remove any refuse in excess of the capacity of these containers.

    PETS
    Pets are prohibited in and around cabins.

    Cancellation Policy

    If you need to cancel a reservation, you will forfeit 100% of all reservation fees paid. All cancellations must be made by calling the Harrison County Conservation Board Office at (712) 647-2785.

    Refund Policy

    All reservations with Harrison County Conservation Board facilities are final. Reservations are non-refundable, unless the following situations occur:
               

    ·       The National Weather Service has issued severe weather and/or travel conditions.

    ·       We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event.

    ·       Accident, serious injury or death of an immediate family member.

    All requests for refunds must be made by calling the Harrison County Conservation Board Office at (712) 647-2785.

     

     

    Prairie View cabin is on a hilltop on the east side of the lake and has one bedroom, full bath with walk-in shower, kitchenette, living area with TV/DVD and a deck with chairs. One bedroom has a queen bed and the living room has a futon that converts to a full bed. Maximum sleeping capacity is 4 people (two per queen bed and futon). The cabin is also equipped with a kitchenette with a stove/oven and refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker (reusable filter), microwave, pots and pans, plates, glasses/mugs and cooking/eating utensils. There is heat and air conditioning and cleaning supplies. A campfire ring and charcoal grill are located next to the cabin. Renter supplies bedding and pillows, bath and dish towels, soap and toiletries. Other items renters may want to bring include charcoal, lawn chairs, movies and games. Firewood can be purchased from the park ranger on duty, office or camp host. Please be advised there is no WIFI at the cabins or in the campground-you may access a guest account from the Willow Lake office during business hours. 

     *Note-at this time, the basement area of Prairie View cabin is CLOSED to the public.

    Fees

    Prairie View is available by reservation online and may be reserved up to two years in advance. 

    • $100.00 a night, open year round
    • two-night minimum for Friday & Saturday                                            
    • three-night minimum for Memorial Day weekend, the 4th of July and Labor Day weekend

    • Prairie View is available for reservation January 1st-December 31st
    • Reservations may be made up to two years in advance
    • Check-in time is after 4:00 pm on the day of arrival (NO EARLY CHECK-INS)
    • Check-out time is before 12:00 pm on the day of departure (NO LATE CHECK-OUTS)
    • Quiet hours are 10:30 p.m.-6:00 a.m.
    • Non-registered guests must leave by 10:30 p.m.
    • No one under the age of 21 is allowed to occupy a cabin unless that minor is accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, 21 years or older
    • No camping trailers or tents may be at the cabins; please use the campground
    • No golf carts or ATV's

    Harrison County Conservation Board is located in the beautiful Loess Hills of western Iowa! There are 18 park and wildlife areas with almost 1,800 acres for outdoor recreation like camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, wildlife watching, picnicking and boating. The Willow Lake Recreation Area near Woodbine also has a campground, rental cabins, administration offices, and the new Willow Lake Nature Center. Another campground is located near Dunlap called Schaben Park.
