    • I understand by making this reservation I assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of the members of my group while utilizing this facility. Additionally, I agree that I have read and understand the terms concerning this reservation, and have also read and understand the shelter rules. All county park rules and state laws are enforced.
    • I understand smoking is prohibited in the shelters.
    • I agree to pay the $4.00 per facility administration fee.

    Rental Contract Agreement

    Jefferson County Park Shelter Rental Agreement
    By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 18 years or older (21 years of age if beer or wine will be present at your event) and that you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the group you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of all visitors, occupants, activities or actions while utilizing said facilities.  You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jefferson County, Jefferson County Conservation Board, all of its employees, Board Members, agent, and volunteers for any and all claims that may arise from the use or occupancy of this County facility.
    Additionally, you agree that you have read and understand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation for this facility; which, are outlined at the bottom of this agreement.
    RENTAL FEES
    $20.00 per Day (Non-Refundable)
    $4.00 Non-refundable processing fee will be added to each shelter rental at time payment is submitted.
    You are reserving a facility in a Jefferson County Conservation Board Park. ALL COUNTY PARK RULES AND STATE LAWS ARE ENFORCED. The complete rules can be found on our website, www.JeffersonCountyConservation.com.  It is your responsibility to know the rules and regulations. Contact the Conservation Office if you have any questions about park rules, policies or special requests.
    Failure to clean up the facility or surrounding area as outlined, or failure to comply with park rules or state laws may result in enforcement action. Jefferson County Conservation may take any legal action necessary to recover damages to county property.
    Shelters must be vacant and cleaned up by 10:00pm at the latest. 
    MUSIC
    No amplified music is allowed. 
    TABLES
    The tables shall not be moved without first obtaining permission from park staff. If approved, the users shall put them back as they found them before they leave.
    CLEAN-UP
    “Carry in – Carry out”- All trash must be removed from the shelter and surrounding area including decorations, streamers, balloons, glitter, etc. Renters are required to clean up the facility and grounds and return them to the condition you received them. All decorations, temporary signs and the items used to attach or display them will be removed and disposed of properly. Plan to have the facility cleaned and people departed prior to the Jefferson County Park closing time at 10:00pm.
    SMOKING
    Jefferson County is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings.
    PARKING
    Parking is confined to designated parking areas. Parking or driving off roadways or parking areas is prohibited.
    DIRECTIONAL SIGNS & DECORATIONS
    Temporary, free standing directional signs are allowed – not to be attached to park furniture, signposts or other facilities. Small stakes for temporary signs may be used and must be removed at conclusion of the event. Decorations are allowed as long as they are free standing or not affixed in a manner that would damage any surface of the facility, floor of the facility or the facility itself (tape, tacks, staples that may cause damage to the facility are prohibited. The use of painter’s tape, scotch tape or string is recommended). 
    BEER AND WINE
    Only beer with an alcohol content of 5% or less by weight and wine with an alcohol content of 17% or less by weight may be consumed in county parks. Drinking of these beverages is not permitted on roads or in parking areas. Hard liquor and wine with alcohol content in excess of
    17% by weight or other alcoholic liquors are NOT to be consumed in county parks. Keg beer is NOT allowed.
    PETS
    All Pets must be on a leash at all times, free roaming animals are prohibited (with exception of service animals).

    Cancellation Policy

    Consider this policy prior to purchasing a reservation. Please understand at the time of booking your reservation you immediately prohibit other people from reserving and utilizing the shelter; therefore, they will go elsewhere to locate a facility for that date. Name of person on the reservation will be the only person who can cancel or reschedule a facility reservation. All cancellations or requests to reschedule date of reservation cannot be done online and must be made by calling and /or emailing the Jefferson County Park Office, (641) 472-4421, at least 14 days in advance of the original event reservation date.
    If a rescheduling of a reservation is needed, that rescheduled date must be submitted and approved by the Conservation Office at least 14 days prior to the original event reservation date. A reservation holder has only ONE opportunity to reschedule their original reservation.
    If a facility reservation is cancelled by Jefferson County Conservation due to a natural disaster or if by some means the facility is unusable, a full refund will be issued to the person that made the original reservation.

    Refund Policy

    Consider this policy prior to purchasing a reservation. 100% of the shelter reservation fee and Processing Fee is NON-REFUNDABLE.

    This is an open air shelter house in Jefferson County Park. There are wood picnic tables included inside and a charcoal / wood cooking grill is located outside the shelter. A modern restroom facility is located nearby. Reservations must be made 3 days in advance of the date of reservation. For example to make a Saturday reservation, you must reserve the facility no later than Wednesday of that week.  If you have questions concerning your rental, please contact the park office at 641-472-4421 or email: Info@JeffersonCountyConservation.com.  

     

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 09:00 AM and check-out is before 10:00 PM.

    Location Shelter #1 is located in the Picnic Area of Jefferson County Park. The address to the Park is 2003 Libertyville Road, Fairfield, Iowa.

    Fees

    The rate for a day rental is $20.00. This fee is Non-Refundable.
    A $4.00 non-refundable processing fee will be added to each shelter rental at time payment is submitted.
    The full fee payment is required at the time of a reservation. 

    RESERVATIONS:
    *  Rental must be in the name of a person that is 18 years of age or older who will be present at the facility for the full term of the reservation.
    *  If beer or wine will be at the facility, rental must be in the name of a person who is 21 years of age or older who will be present at the facility for the full term of the reservation.
    *  If a shelter is not reserved, the public may use the shelter on a first-come, first-serve basis free of charge.
    *  All personal items must be removed from the shelter each day by 10 pm.
