Chinkapin Bluffs has a shelter that is available for groups to rent.  The Shelter is enclosed on two sides and features a fireplace, picnic tables and nearby grills.  Playground equipment, restrooms, drinking water and scenic overlook are all nearby. The rate is $30/day. 


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 09:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

Location The shelter is connected to the main parking lot via a handicapped accessible sidewalk.

Fees

Special Use Permit - Beer or Wine-$50: Special use permits are required for groups wishing to have beer or wine at their event.   
Proof of Insurance: Shelter renters who obtain special use permits for beer or wine must provide proof of insurance with a minimum of $100,000 liability coverage.  These can be obtained from your homeowner or rental insurance by contacting the company.

All sales are final - refunds will NOT be given for cancellations. If a cancellation must be made, in case of severe weather, a "rain check" may be issued. The rain check must be used within 12-months of the issue date.


Hours of Operation & Seasons

The shelter is open for use all seasons.  The park opens daily at 6:30 and closes at 10:30 pm each night.
Rental check in is after 9 am. Check out is before 10:30 pm.
Refunds will not be given for cancellations. If a cancellation must be made in case of severe weather, a “rain check" may be issued. The rain check must be used within twelve months of the issue date.
