This scenic park along the Cedar River is located on the west edge of Mitchell, Iowa on Hickory Ave. Site of the Mitchell mill dam and the historic hydro-electric powerhouse. This facility is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the only operating hydro-electric power plants in the state of Iowa. Boating, fishing, water skiing and swim beach. Very popular camping site, electric and water hookups,dump station, 2 shelter houses, modern toilet/shower facility, playground equipment. Campers must self register at the entrance before camping.
