The Muscatine County Environmental Learning Center hosts a permanent exhibit, "Iowa's Changing Landscape," describing our changing landscape and how it affects native wildlife.  There are also two large aquariums, temporary nature exhibits, and live snake, turtle, amphibian, and raptor displays. The Environmental Learning Center is home to the Conservation Board offices and has a large classroom that is available for businesses and organizations to rent for meetings.

The Muscatine County Conservation Board is located in southeast Iowa, with the Mississippi River bordering the county on the east, and the Cedar River meandering through the center of the county. The Muscatine County Conservation Board maintains 11 areas totaling 1755 acres. These areas include cabins, campgrounds, an environmental learning center, a beach, river accesses, hiking/biking trails, wildlife areas, lakes, wetlands, and prairies.
