Saulsbury Lodge is situated near the Cedar River at the foot of the old Saulsbury Bridge. The Muscatine County Conservation Board is located in southeast Iowa, with the Mississippi River bordering the county on the east, and the Cedar River meandering through the center of the county. The Muscatine County Conservation Board maintains 11 areas totaling 1755 acres. These areas include cabins, campgrounds, an environmental learning center, a beach, river accesses, hiking/biking trails, wildlife areas, lakes, wetlands, and prairies.
