The Eddyville Dunes shelter is a small shelter with 4 picnic tables.
It is a great place to hold a birthday party, small family reunion, small business picnic, or other outdoor event.
There is currently no electricity.


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 06:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

AGREEMENT ACCEPTED AT TIME OF BOOKING contains renter responsibilities, cancellation and refund restrictions, and park conduct information. Renter will be responsible for damages beyond normal wear. Renter must be at least 21 years of age and present at the facility for entire reservation period.

A damage deposit of $150.00 is due two weeks prior to your reservation date(s). If you are making a reservation less than two weeks from now, please send your deposit immediately. The deposit MUST be cash or check. The deposit must be dropped off or mailed into the main office at 1339 HWY 63 Bloomfield, IA 52537. The deposit will be returned if you cancel the reservation or if the shelter and grounds are vacated in good, clean condition and equipment/furnishings not lost or damaged. All or part of the deposit may be retained against cleanup costs, damage, or loss incurred. If the deposit amount does not cover such costs, the renter is held responsible for additional payment.


Hours of Operation & Seasons

Renters will have access to the Eddyville Dunes Shelter during regular park hours - 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM.

Wapello County

The Wapello County Conservation Board is located in southeast Iowa and currently manages 12 parks and natural areas - encompassing over 2000 acres - throughout the county. The Wapello CCB offices are located inside Pioneer Ridge Nature Center at Pioneer Ridge Nature Area. This is considered the headquarters of the Wapello CCB parks and natural areas system.
