Pioneer Ridge Nature Area


Overview

The Wapello County Conservation Board has a full-time naturalist available for school, senior, community group, scout, and other environmental education programs. Public events and presentations take place throughout the year including summer camps, adult presentations, hikes, astronomy and more. Contact the naturalist to set up your program.

The Nature Center offers displays and live animals. There are 15 miles of trails encompassing woodlands, prairies and ponds allowing for a variety of topics.

Environmental education presentations are available year round.

The nature center and offices will be closed on all government holidays.
