Pioneer Ridge Nature Center is the headquarters of the Wapello County Conservation Board. It has interpretive displays, live animals, a reading area, reference materials and much more.

The Wapello County Conservation Board is located in southeast Iowa and currently manages 12 parks and natural areas - encompassing over 2000 acres - throughout the county. The Wapello CCB offices are located inside Pioneer Ridge Nature Center at Pioneer Ridge Nature Area. This is considered the headquarters of the Wapello CCB parks and natural areas system.
